SCOUTING: Having followed the career of his father as a coach in South Florida, you would not expect anything less than what this young man has already accomplished at the high school level. A key performer for the Wolverines as an eighth grader last season told you just about everything you need to know about this gifted young man who is not only a force as a running back, but has already been considered as one of the most productive kick returners as well as an emerging safety prospect. Chaney Jr. has speed, skill and the size to more than hold his own against top flight competition. As he continues to mature and get bigger, you will see a talented athlete who has the chance to be one of the best in the country College coaches have already shown interest, but that is a long way off. He is the kind of football player that everyone will be able to sit back and enjoy for the next four years. He is easily one of the nation’s best – and that has already been proven over the past year. Chaney has big-time potential in an area that has produced more than its share.
