PLAYER: Hunter Astle
SCHOOL: Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons
CLASS: 2017

SCOUTING: Having watched this talented prospect since he began playing linebacker at St. Thomas Aquinas, we have truly noticed the maturity and the improvement made. You can already see how much of an impact he has made for the Chiefs – and college coaches are taking notice of this talented prospect who has combined athleticism with impressive classroom work. No matter where you put him – as a defensive end or at the middle linebacker position – his talent comes through. Astle has great size, passion for the game and the knack of being a leader and very good teammate. The success of this program will definitely go through this senior who still has plenty of exciting high school football left in him. He’s a quality player to continue to watch. One that first-year head coach Matt Dubuc has been very excited about.
