Hit & Run Leaves Skateboarder In Critical Condition

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Police are investigating a hit-and-run that left a 20-year-old man critically injured.
Miami-Dade Police said it happened near the 29600 block of Old Dixie Hwy at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, September 25th.
Jackeize Meriweather was riding his skateboard northbound on Old Dixie Rd when he was struck from behind by a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a 2004 Honda Civic, officials said.
The car fled the scene without offering help or calling 911.
Meriweather was taken to Jackson Memorial South Trauma Center.
