No Foul Play Suspected In FIU Student's Death

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Detectives don't suspect foul play after a student was found dead inside his dorm room at Florida International University.

Miami-Dade Police said on Thursday morning, September 22nd, officers from FIU, along with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, were dispatched to check on the welfare of student Alexander Ghiz.

Once they were able to get inside the room, Ghiz was found and pronounced deceased by MDFR.

An investigation is ongoing.
