Angelina Jolie Divorcing Brad Pitt, Conflict Over Kids

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Together for a dozen years, married for the last two, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are calling it quits.

Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce and the trigger was a conflict over the kids, according to TMZ. Jolie was apparently upset with the methods he used to parent their children.

An attorney for Jolie Pitt, Robert Offer, said Tuesday the decision was made "for the health of the family."

The celebrity gossip site reports there was no "third person" and her decision to file was solely over Pitt's interaction with their children.

She is reportedly asking for full physical custody of the couple's six children, but joint legal custody.

Pitt and Jolie wed in August 2014 in a private ceremony in the French hamlet of Correns in Provence with their children serving as ring bearers and throwing flower petals.

Jolie lists the date of separation as Sept. 15, 2016 and cites irreconcilable differences.
