SCOUTING: It continues to be said over and over again, but unless you really get out and watch these young men play live you are really aren't doing prospects like this any good at all. Valcin is a solid football player who has the talent to play on both sides of the ball as well as special teams, but this is a talent who will make it at the next level in the secondary. He is quick, athletic and will lay you out. Valcin is a very physical defensive back who has the ability to cover, but is also tough enough to lay some hits and be effective. If you watch him on the field, he is a leader who is vocal, but has the skill to lead by example. His coaches believe that if he continues to perform like this throughout the season, he will indeed pick up plenty of interest. Another of those under-the-radar players that meeting him in street clothes or watching him on film will never uncover what colleges are looking for.
