It happened sometime early Wednesday morning, August 17th, likely before the sun came up, in the largely gay-friendly city of Wilton Manors, near N.E. 9th Avenue and N.E. 26th Street.

More than 30 car tires were punctured in the ensuing neighborhood and condo complex, according to residents.

"Basically did it in the same spot on each car," said Timothy Sweat, as he gave CBS4's Carey Codd a tour of the parking lot, taking several photos of car after car with punctured tires.

Home surveillance from one of the victims was able to capture the suspect going car to car, kneeling low and using a tool to pierce the tires.

"We were dealing with either a hate crime or someone who needed medication, seriously," said Sweat.

Sweat said the damage cost residents hundreds of dollars in tire replacements. He said that they notified the police but are still concerned that the person who did this might strike again.

"This is a laid back, working class family neighborhood and to have someone do this to us for no reason didn't make sense," he added.

If you recognize this guy, you're urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
