FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami/AP) - A central Florida woman was charged after she reportedly tried to run over a police officer with her car in Titusville.

Thursday night police received a call about shots being fired at an apartment complex.

Arriving officers spotted a car matching the description of one involved in the shooting speed out of the parking lot.

Officers followed the car to a restaurant parking lot, where driver stopped and was met by officers.

Titusville Police Chief John Lau said at first the woman was compliant, but suddenly she put the car in drive and drove at an officer, pinning the officer against the windshield.

Officers fired at the car. No one was hurt.

The unidentified woman was arrested on unknown charges. Two officers were placed on administrative leave.
