Non-profit organization East Coast Greenway Alliance has developed the nearly 3,000-mile bike route that includes more than 30 percent of the journey on traffic-free paths, offering safe and accessible routes for cyclists, walkers, runners and other muscle-powered users of all ages and abilities.
"The ECG fosters healthy lifestyles, empowers sustainable transportation, and promotes tourism," the company states on their YouTube account.
The ambitious project was started in 1991 and according to ECG, it's the largest long-distance urban trail in the country.
Stretching from Key West, Florida to Calais, Maine, the continuous, paved path currently links 25 cities and 16 states.
