Hillary Clinton To Hold Event At FIU Arena On Saturday

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – As the Republican National Convention hits its stride, some news come out of the Democratic nominee's camp.

Hillary Clinton plans to hold a public rally at Florida International University on Saturday.

Clinton had planned a trip through Florida that will also take her through Tampa and Orlando on Friday.

The event at the FIU arena, located at 11200 SW 8th Street, will begin at noon with doors opening at 10 a.m.

Clinton has not held a public event in South Florida since winning the primary over Bernie Sanders.

It's no surprise that Clinton is making an appearance in Florida, a key battleground state, before the Democratic National Convention.

The DNC begins on July 25th at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
