Companies Looking To Fill 2,000 Positions At Job Fair

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Retail sales, security guards and greeter positions will be among those offered at a career fair at Don Shula's Hotel in Miami Lakes at 6842 Main Street. Representatives from two dozen top companies will be their to fill more than 2,000 positions.

The July 19th event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The grocery chain Aldi will be conducting interviews for over 20 stores associates, shift managers and manager trainees for their Hialeah and Miami Lakes stores.

Century 21 Department Stores are expanding from NYC to South Florida and opening a new store location at Sawgrass Mills mall in November. They are hiring for all positions.

The Miami Heat will be there interviewing for part time event staff freeters and the Miami Dolphins will be hiring for football season. They are hiring for over 100 guest services representatives and parking positions!

Service Corp (SCI) will be doing on the spot interviews for Family Service Counselors.

Hialeah based Liebherr USA, Co.'s maritime cranes division is responsible for the sales and service of port, harbor mobile, ship and offshore cranes to the US, the Caribbean, Central and South America. They will be hiring managers and field service representatives at the event.

Kent Security has over 50 openings for security officers, rover patrol, front desk concierge, gatehouse & lobby attendants.

Beauty Schools of America is looking for a Skin Care Instructor for the Hialeah Campus. They also need janitors and hair stylists.

KW Properties will be interviewing for community association managers, chief engineer, front desk positions, maintenance, housekeeping, valet and administrative assistants.

Convey Health is hiring for Licensed Agents (215), quality assurance reps and member services.

CoverAll Health Based Cleaning Systems has over 25 openings for outside & inside sales.

If you have kids, make sure you arrange for a baby sitter. No children will be allowed into the event.

Dress your absolute best. This doesn't mean you have to go out and purchase an expensive outfit, just dress clean cut and professional. Also, update your resume and bring at least 30 copies with you.

It's a good idea to do a little research in advance. Pick a few companies from the list and learn more about them online. The more you know about the company, the more you can converse with them at the event.

Make sure you visit every employer at the event and tell them what type of career you are interested in. If they do not have it available, they might be able to refer you to a company that does

No cell phones will be allowed inside the Career Fair room. And finally, this is South Florida, you may want to bring an umbrella.
