MIAMI (CBSMiami) – While Dwyane Wade dropped his bombshell news about leaving the Miami Heat, the team's owner was setting sail for England on one of his company's lavish cruise ships.

Micky Arison posted a few pictures on Instagram from the deck of the "Queen Mary 2."

The Carnival Cruise-owned ship is swinging again thanks to a $132 million makeover.

There are now 15 solo cabins accommodations that are becoming increasingly common on cruise ships.

"There are more and more solo travelers today quite frankly than any period of time," Cunard President Richard Meadows said.

Norwegian Cruise Line brought the first solo cabins to the market in 2010 and now has them on five ships.

Royal Caribbean has solo cabins on four of its ships.

Other upgrades on the Queen Mary 2 are also attracting pet owners.

Pampered pooches can feel right at home on transatlantic journeys next to a Liverpool lamp post and a New York City fire hydrant. Ten new kennels were added.

The changes on the Queen Mary 2 include a new restaurant – the Verandah. It's modeled after the original Verandah on board the Queen Mary where famous celebrities and actresses dined in the 1930s through the 60s.

The refurbishment took 5,000 people 25 days – working round the clock.

New York City resident Matthew Nelson took one of the first cruises

"They did a very nice job. For a 10-year-old ship, it's in tip top order," he said.
