MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Authorities have arrested a woman who was found hours after Miami Police issued an "Endangered Adult" alert saying she had been abducted.

Karla Flores Vasquez reportedly called her husband at work around 5 a.m. and said something was seriously wrong.

"He received a call from her while he was at work stating that there were two men with her and that she was in danger," said police spokeswoman Kenia Fallat. "For a minute there, he took a pause and thought that it was a joke, so he let it slide."

A short time later the 32 year old sent him a text with the same message trying to get his attention.

"She told him 'this was not a joke, I'm concerned, I'm in danger'," said Fallat.

Vasquez's husband said he became very concerned and went to their home at 1742 NW 42nd Street to check on her. She was gone and so was her black 2008 Chevrolet Suburban. That's when he called the police.

After hours of searching, Miami police officers said they saw Vasquez driving in the area of NE 15 Avenue and 157 Street.

The officers reported she was driving the SUV she claimed to have been kidnapped in.

Vasquez was taken to Miami Police Headquarters along with a man who was also located as a person of interest.

After questioning her and the man, police determined Vasquez was never in any danger.
