Armed Man Prompts Miami Police Perimeter

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A man armed with a gun prompted a police perimeter early Tuesday morning in one Miami neighborhood.
A Miami police officer on his way to back up another officer spotted a man with a suspicious bulge under his arm. When he told the man to put his hands up, a weapon fell to the ground. The man then grabbed a second weapon and ran.
Police called in A SWAT team and proceeded to set up a perimeter in the area of SW 10th and SW 11th Avenues and SW 4th and SW 5th Streets. Area residents were told to stay in their homes as police with K-9S searched between residences and in yards.
