FORT LAUDERDALE – The precautionary advisory to avoid water-related recreational activities in Fort Lauderdale's inland waterways remains in effect Saturday.

"The first round of testing from affected waterways produced unsatisfactory results," said a Ft. Lauderdale city official. "Additional testing will continue to take place with more results expected tomorrow, Sunday, June 26."

Ft. Lauderdale Beach is not affected by the precautionary advisory and ocean waters remain safe.

Swimming, fishing, jet-skiing, boating and other water-related activities should be avoided in water bodies within the following boundaries:

North: NW/NE 38 Street
South: I-595/Port Everglades
West: I-95
East: Intracoastal Waterway
