Employee Murdered At Cutler Bay Storage Facility

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman at a storage facility in Cutler Bay.

Miami-Dade Police said the victim, Laura Cuni, 54, was a longtime employee at the storage facility, located at Marlin Road and S.W. 106th Avenue.

She was the store's manager and also lived there.

Police said a friend was staying with her and got worried when she didn't come home after closing time at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 23rd.

"Once she became concerned, she did call the Miami-Dade Police Department. Uniformed officers responded here to what was believed to be an abduction. When uniformed officers arrived, they did find Ms. Laura Cuni deceased inside," said MDPD's Jennifer Capoti.

Police suspect foul play and are looking through the building's security camera footage for clues.
