HIALEAH (CBSMiami) – There are new developments in a family's search for a Doral mother and her daughter who were last seen May 30th.

The mother's siblings from Colombia and volunteers passed out flyers outside a Walmart store in Hialeah Gardens asking for the public's help.

Liliana Moreno's two sisters and brother returned to the store because some leads brought investigators to this area.

Moreno and her daughter were reported missing two weeks ago.

For her loved ones, that has seemed like an eternity.

"We need to know what happened," said Eduardo Moreno, brother of the missing woman. "We are going to continue this."

Eduardo Moreno and his two sisters have been dedicated to one mission: finding a clue that will lead them to their sister, 42-year-old Liliana Moreno and her 8-year-old daughter Daniela.

"We need to keep strong with this family. We need to stay together so this will give us hope," Eduardo said.

Volunteers from the Missing Children Global Network joined Moreno's siblings, passing out new flyers that say the mother and daughter were last seen at 12 p.m. on Monday May 30th.

"We are staying here because we need more leads and we need more information about what happened with her and my niece," Eduardo explained. "So we need help and for people to give some information about this."

Police suspect foul play.

Gustavo Castano, Daniela's father, is the last known person to see the mother and her child alive.

"I hope he will clarify information so that police are able to bring more light to this case," said private investigator Fernando Alvarez.

According to a new search warrant, Castano told Miami-Dade Police that Moreno agreed to go with him to a Home Depot store on May 30th and on the way they got into a heated argument and he left her and her daughter out by the Okeechobee Road exit on the Florida Turnpike.

He said he then went to the warehouse where he worked and returned but did not find them.

The last time Moreno's cell phone registered was just before 1 p.m. on May 30th.

The Hialeah Gardens Walmart store is where detectives say they found Castano in a rental truck cutting himself in the neck with a box cutter.

His attorney says he lost an eye when police used a Taser. Authorities later said Castano grabbed and held up a box and that deflected a Taser prong in to his eye.

Meanwhile, as detectives look for leads, Moreno's loved ones and volunteers are not giving up.

"We're not giving up on this because we know there is new information coming in and we know new people are coming forward," said Alvarez.

Moreno's brother and two younger sisters say they are staying in South Florida indefinitely and are determined to get some answers before going home to Colombia.

Miami-Dade Police say they are continuing to look for surveillance tape and search different areas.

In the search warrant, police say they swabbed the rental truck that Castano was in for DNA but no test results have come back yet.

The warrant also says Castano had a scratch on his right forearm after the argument with Moreno and said a digital video recorded from the warehouse where he worked had been stolen.

If you can help, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
