MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) -- Two young children were found deceased inside a Miramar home and authorities suspect foul play.

The kids were found at around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday at 6115 SW 38th Street.

"We received a 911 call a medical emergency involving two children," said Miramar police spokeswoman Tania Rues.

They found a 7-month-old boy and a 3-year-old girl unresponsive.

CPR was attempted but the children did not survive

Rues said foul play is suspected but gave few details on how the kids died.

Toys littered the front yard as a large police presence surrounded the home.

"They seemed happy like there was nothing wrong," said neighbor Janae Greenway.

A man who lives in the front property says a woman knocked on his door and asked to use his phone.

"She seemed hysterical. She started crying as I left," he said.

The street remained blocked off with investigators looking around the scene.

Detectives are are questioning relatives.
