Frito-Lay Issues Recall Over Peanut Allergy Concerns

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Frito-Lay is recalling a number of their Rold Gold products over concerns they may have peanut residue.

The company issued the voluntary recall on Monday saying the possible presence of peanut residue may pose an allergy risk for some consumers.

The items included in the recall were sold nationwide and include Rold Gold Tiny Twists, Rold Gold Thins, Rold Gold Sticks and Rold Gold Honey Wheat Braided.

All of the listed products included in the recall have the "guaranteed fresh" dates ranging from June 28, 2016 - August 23, 2016 on the front of the package.

At last check, Frito-Lay had not received reports of illnesses related to the recall.

Consumers are urged to return the product to the store for a full refund or contact Frito-Lay Consumer Relations at 1-888-256-3090.
