Amazon Launches Restaurant Delivery Service In Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Amazon has launched a new service for its Prime members in Miami - restaurant delivery.
Beginning Tuesday, customers across Miami can order free one-hour delivery from more than 60 local restaurants including Baires Grill, Brother Jimmy's BBQ, La Provence, Madero, Michael's Genuine® Food & Drink, Morgans Restaurant, Spris, and many more.
Using the Prime Now mobile app or by visiting the new Prime Now website, Miami customers can check out participating restaurants, browse menus, place orders and track the status of their delivery in real time. Delivery on all orders is free for Prime members.
"Miami's rich culture and vibrant restaurant scene makes it the ideal place to try new restaurants and cuisines from around the world," said Gus Lopez, general manager, Amazon Restaurants.
Lopez says Amazon Restaurants has transparent pricing — meaning there are no menu markups or hidden service fees. If a customer finds a restaurant item that is priced higher than the regularly-priced item on the restaurant's current online menu, Amazon will refund the price of the item.
