Cuban Migrants Come Ashore At Lauderdale-By-The-Sea

BROWARD (CBSMiami) – A group of Cuban refugees have come ashore in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.

A video posted on Instagram captured the moment they arrived Monday night.

There were six of them, including a pregnant woman who was taken to the hospital.

They arrived just south of the Commercial Boulevard Pier.

"They took a big risk, especially at night. You don't know what's going on. You don't know what's happening out there," said tourist Frank Lacovelli. "The waves are going crazy right now. There could be a shark. They took a major risk."
