Bonnie Weakens To A Tropical Depression, Moves East

MIAMI (AP) — Tropical Storm Bonnie has weakened to a tropical depression as it continues to move east and away from the U.S. East Coast.

At 5 p.m. on Saturday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said Bonnie's maximum sustained winds were at 35 mph (55 kph). Its center was located about 185 miles north of Bermuda.

The storm was moving east at 14 mph. There was no threat to land, and the Hurricane Center said no coastal warnings or watches are in effect in connection with Bonnie.
