Uber Offers New Way To Track Family, Friends

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Ridesharing company Uber has launched a new feature that lets you track family and friends during their ride.

As part of the Uber app, users will be able to create Family Profiles. The app will then notify you when someone in that family profile is on a ride, where they are going, where they are at that moment during the ride and when they've arrived.

The cost of the ride will be automatically billed to you.

Those wanting to use the feature will need to get the latest version of the app. Family profiles are now available to riders around the globe.
