Man Accused Of Stalking, Robbing Elderly Man At Seminole Hard Rock Hotel And Casino

HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) – A Belle Glade man is accused of robbing a 73-year-old man as he left the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Monday afternoon.
According to Seminole police, Edenson Major attacked the elderly victim in a parking garage.
Police said Major struck the victim, placed him into a chokehold and stole nearly $19,000 from him.
"Allegedly you followed the man for 30 minutes – this is caught on video. Followed him for 30 minutes, basically stalked him through the casino until he left," Broward County Circuit Court Judge John Hurley said.
Police said Major's car wouldn't start after the crime and he left it at the casino.
Investigators said the car led them to Major.
Major is being held in the Broward County Jail on $31,000 bond.
CBS4 was told the elderly victim is OK.
