WATCH: Some Of The Best Baseball Brawls In Recent Memory

When the benches and bullpens clear at a baseball game, fans usually enjoy what happens next.

Baseball players may not be the best fighters in sports (not like hockey players anyway) but that doesn't mean all the 'fights' are lame.

A good example came just days ago when Rougned Odor tagged Jose Bautista with a  straight right hand to the cheek.

Over the years there have been some great baseball brawls, and this seemed like a good time to take a look back at some of the best ones.

You've surely seen this by now, but it's so awesome let's take another look at the Odor-Bautista exchange.

Here's a shocker…Odor has been mixed up in these kind of extracurricular activities before.

Back in 1993, Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan plunked a young Robin Ventura who took off for the mound but may have gotten more than he bargained for from the 46-year-old Ryan.

Remember the 2000 World Series between the Yankees and Mets? The Subway Series was quite entertaining, but perhaps the most memorable moment came when Roger Clemens flung a piece of splintered bat at an unsuspecting Mike Piazza.

Possibly one of the best brawls ever, the Yankees and Orioles went at it after Armando Benitez hit Tino Martinez following a Bernie Williams homer. The fight spilled into the Orioles dugout, which is something that you don't see every day.

It's no surprise that the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox aren't very fond of one another, so when A.J. Pierzynski ran over Michael Barrett to score on a sac fly it led to some fireworks between the two Windy City ballclubs.

Sox on sox crime anyone? When Boston pitcher Aaron Sele went up and in on Chicago batter George Bell, then hit him on the following pitch, it quickly escalated into a battle on the field.

A young Pedro Martinez wasn't one to be messed with, which he proved in this 1996 game at Veterans Stadium in Philly. After plunking Gregg Jefferies earlier in the game, Martinez took exception to being plunked while trying to lay down a sacrifice bunt and went after Philadelphia pitcher Mike Williams.

Not really a brawl, but still pretty funny. Legendary Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda lost his cool when the Phillies notoriously goofy mascot, the Philly Phanatic, brought a Lasorda dummy onto the field.

Something for Marlins fans to look back on and smile about. Back in 2010 there was a lot of unsportsmanlike behavior going on long before the benches cleared in a game between the then-Florida Marlins and Washington Nationals.  Nyjer Morgan had previously decided to steal second and third base despite the Nats being down by 11 runs, and Marlins pitcher Chris Volstad took exception the next time Morgan came to the plate.  After charging the mound, Morgan was closelined by Florida first baseman Gaby Sanchez.
