MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A red suitcase abandoned at a bank parking lot caused major concern for authorities in Miami.
Saturday afternoon, Miami Police set up a perimeter around the Bank of America on N.W. 36th Street and 13th Avenue, shutting down about three blocks in each direction.
Bomb squad and fire rescue units were called out to investigate the luggage. It was considered suspicious after someone reportedly tossed it there.
Once the bomb squad's robot rolled into the lot and x-rayed the suitcase, it was determined that the only thing inside were clothes.
Curious onlookers and bank employees watched as the suitcase was successfully detonated without further incident.
