Report: Laremy Tunsil's Reps Looking Into Ex-Advisor Over Leaked Video

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The Miami Dolphins may have discovered the person responsible for leaking a damaging video of a college athlete just minutes before he was expected to be selected in the NFL draft.

The video, allegedly showing Ole Miss left tackle Laremy Tunsil smoking marijuana from a gas mask bong on his Twitter feed, prompted the player to drop in the draft and lose millions of dollars in contract negotiations. It appeared to be a pre-calculated move with intent to hurt Tunsil's value.

The Dolphins selected him at #13 overall and according to The Palm Beach Post, the team thinks it was Tunsil's former business manager/financial advisor who had a role in the video's leak.

Tunsil's representatives could turn the findings over to the FBI.

According to ESPN.com's Mark Schlabach and Nicole Noren:

Tunsil fired the business manager after other agents informed Tunsil that the man wasn't licensed or registered to work as a financial adviser but was a "runner," a term used to describe someone who gives money and other benefits to a player in order to entice the player to sign with an agent or financial adviser with whom the runner is working.

The sources said the business manager gave Tunsil a new cell phone in mid-October. People close to Tunsil believe the man might have accessed Tunsil's social media accounts Thursday by logging into them through his old phone.

Deadspin reported that for several weeks leading up to the draft, an anonymous tipster attempted to sell the Tunsil video.
