DAVIE (CBSMiami) - A Jacksonville firefighter is under arrest, accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl.

The 17-year-old went to the police in March to report that 25-year-old Ladarius Lane-Berry had sex with her without her consent.

The teen told police she met Lane-Berry about a year ago online through a Facebook friend request. She told him she was 16 and he told her he was 24. The pair exchanged texts and periodically they would discuss getting together when he visited Miami-Dade.

The teen said the conversations were often sexual in nature, according to his arrest report.

In May 2015, the teen said he picked up in front of her school in a blue Camaro. She said at one point, he told her to her to get in the back seat and lay down. She did. When he tried to have sex with her, the teen said she pushed him away and told him she didn't want to do this. She then got out of the car.

She said in February, 2016, Lane-Berry posted several times that he was 'sorry' and wanted to treat her right.

On March 18th, the teen said they hung out at the beach and then he offered to drive her to work. While driving, the teen said Lane-Berry tried to feel her breasts and groin area.

She said he eventually pulled into a parking lot at 4689 SW 148th Avenue in Davie. After telling her to get in the back seat, he joined her there. The teen said he then forced himself on her while she cried and repeatedly told him 'no'.

After the incident, he sent her a post that said "sorry".

After the teen went to the police, a text was sent to him about getting together.

On March 27th, when he showed up at 11200 State Road 84 expecting to pick her up, the police were waiting and took him into custody.

Lane-Berry has been charged with having sex with a minor and traveling to meet a minor for sexual purposes.
