Broward Sheriff Scott Israel Struck By Vehicle In Davie

DAVIE (CBSMiami) – Broward Sheriff Scott Israel is okay after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, Israel was jogging near SW 42 Court and Hiatus Road when he was hit.

Israel suffered from minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated and released.

BSO spokesperson Veda Coleman-Wright said she spoke with the sheriff who said he was doing fine.

The driver remained on scene.
