FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A 5-year-old boy abducted overnight by his "mentally unstable" mother was found safe after she turned herself in.

Early Monday morning an Amber Alert was issued for Julian Kiley who was taken by his mother, Tiffany Kiley, from his aunt's home at NW 62nd Court and 40th Avenue.

Julian has been living with his mother's sister, Stephanie Kiley, for the past two weeks.

Late Monday evening, CBS4 received several pictures of a joyful reunion between Julian and Stephanie Kiley.

One picture showed him grabbing onto her neck. Another showed both of them smiling making a thumbs up gesture.

Stephanie Kiley wrote a text to CBS4 News saying, "Reunited once again I finally have my nephew again thank you all, thank you all for all the blessings and thank you for all your support."

Earlier this month, Tiffany Kiley lost custody of her son and he was placed in Stephanie Kiley's care. She said the last time she saw Julian was around midnight when she gave him a kiss on the head while he slept.

She said when she came down the stairs, she saw her sister inside her home.

"I saw my sister creeping up the stairs. Then the next thing I know, me and her, were fighting, arguing, about the fact that one she was at my home because she's not supposed to be there. Two the fact that she had entered my premises and three the fact that she was trying to take Juli," said Stephanie Kiley.

Stephanie Kiley added that her sister was mentally unstable and was concerned for her nephew's wellbeing.

"She went into the bedroom, grabbed Julian, pulled him out of bed, yanked him downstairs," said Kiley. "We argued more and the next thing you know she was at the door running down the street."

Stephanie Kiley said this all happened hours before Tiffany Kiley had a court hearing in Broward.

"She was out of control, why would she do this before she knows she has to go to court," she said.

Nine hours after she disappeared with her boy, Tiffany Kiley resurfaced. She called into the hearing.

"I'm going to the police station right now," she told the court.

Tiffany Kiley said she was in Leesburg and planned to turn herself in to the sheriff. She added she didn't want to be arrested, she just wanted her son. She also said she wanted her son to see some doctors.

Police believe her ultimate destination was Massachusetts.

After the hearing, Stephanie Kiley said she was glad her sister was going to do the right thing and was still waiting to hear if she would be the one to go to Lake County to pick up the boy.

Early Monday evening, Stephanie Kiley texted CBS4's Carey Codd she is on her way to Leesburg to pick up Julian and bring him back home.

As for Tiffany Kiley, she did turn herself in and was taken to the Lake County Jail. She is facing two charges – burglary of an occupied dwelling and interfering with a custody matter.

Codd was told Coconut Creek detectives are in Leesburg talking to the man who was driving the car with Tiffany Kiley and Julian inside. They did not know if that man would be facing criminal charges.
