MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Author Lisa Lillien offers up diet-friendly recipes, supermarket finds, and tips and tricks as a go-to resource for guilt-free eating.

"These are cheesy cauliflower tator tots," said Lillien, better known as "Hungry Girl," pointing out her calorie saving, healthy recipe. "The magic of this recipe is the ingredient here -- cauliflower. In this book, I tend to use produce instead of starchy carbs, which I love, because it saves so many calories. This serving has only 70 calories and they are baked, and not fried, and they're delicious."

In her latest book, "Hungry Girl: Clean & Hungry," Lillien offers up guilt-free recipes that, she says, satisfy hunger without sacrificing taste.

"Clean eating means different things to different people and there's no real definition of clean eating. This book is about clean eating in the real world, so all the recipes are accessible and the portions are just huge," Lillien says.

In 2004, Lillien began a free daily email subscription service geared to help people eat healthy and lose weight. Today, millions of people access her content, either online or through her books and magazines, to get her recipes and tips.

Lisa stresses, though, she is not a chef or a nutritionist.

"I'm just hungry and I'm a mad scientist in the kitchen, who loves to create exciting delicious things," she told CBS4's Lisa Petrillo.

The book has a "no cook" recipe section -- a sample is a bowl of cold sesame noodles with a spiralizer.

"You save tons of calories from traditional sesame noodles because these noodles are made from zucchini, instead of starchy foods. A serving of this has about 150 calories," she said.

Next, an easy to cook recipe.

"This is a kale and feta-stuffed pork. It's a five ingredient recipe. You can make the whole thing in an hour. A serving has less than 200 calories. Pork tenderloin is actually low in calories and fat," Lillien explained.

And last but not least, ooey gooey brownies?

"I'm wondering what beans and pumpkins are doing in my brownies," joked Petrillo.

Here's my advice. Don't tell people about the beans. These are brownies made primarily of black beans and powdered peanut butter with applesauce, pumpkin and a touch of flour. These brownies have 115 calories.

"It's chewy and tastes like chocolate and I don't taste any beans at all," said Petrillo, after biting into one.

"Hungry Girl: Clean & Hungry" is now out in bookstores. For more info www.hungry-girl.com
