We are now in that countdown stage to when college coaches will start pouring down to south Florida to get a look at some of these prospects that have spent the offseason maturing and getting stronger.

While spring football is never really huge across the country, but down here – where the attention is non-stop – this time (which officially begins April 25th this year) is where college scholarships are earned and athletes start to position themselves for the future.

As things change in recruiting from year to year, with new rules being put into place, this is indeed the time that is the most exciting. Those who are already "on the radar" of college coaches can use the time to stay healthy and work on those little things.

For others, they can use those days to make an impression.

Spring football is something we have had for years, and while others state do not take full advantage of the time, south Florida uses these days to make a lasting impression. It is not uncommon to see 30 college coaches come to school or practice each day. If you are a high profile school, you already know what it's like.

As many of these prospects will be new to most, we continue to have that advantage by releasing over 2,000 prospects during the course of a year – and give these athletes 12-month a year exposure.

In keeping with what do, here are six more prospects to add to the many you already have:

2017 – Aaron Chichester, S, 6-1, 180, Homestead Somerset Academy: One of the hidden gems that we brought you last year for the first time. Here is a football talent who is well under the radar. As colleges will see this impressive talent for the first time this spring, Chichester will make an impression. He not only has size and athletic ability, but his work in the classroom is also appealing to all schools. Watch how this talented young many continues to climb that ladder and shows that he can play this game – at the next level.

2017 – Marcus Etienne, OG/DT, 6-0, 265, Flanagan: One of the very hardest working linemen around – and coming off the school's first-ever state championship – look for this quality line prospect to become a leader for the Falcons. Putting prospects like Etienne in the right position to make a solid impact will bode well for new head coach Stanford Samuels.

2017 – Caleb Okwaraji, S, 6-1, 181, Miramar: Watch out football fans, here is the next budding star to come out of this area. And as we are now in the offseason, this fast (4.48) and aggressive safety just may be a player who really comes out of nowhere. All he has done this offseason is turn heads with his quickness and ability to play this game. There is no doubting that Okwaraji will be an impact performer for the Patriots in 2016.

2017 – Robert Perez, Jr., OL, 6-2, 295, Christopher Columbus: After watching him start his career at Cardinal Gibbons in Fort Lauderdale, he is now starting his second season with the Explorers and has a chance to be very special. Perez is a very athletic big man who has size and plenty of experience. He will end up being a football player who will get plenty of looks from colleges. Perez is one of the under the radar athletes who has the chance to be special.

While the Cougars have struggled to find a quarterback prospects in the past few years, Rackley is one that will put them in the spotlight for the next three years. He's a great football player but is also a baseball prospect who many have been raving about. Keep your eye on this tremendous talent because he is indeed special.

The coaches who have been around him feel that this is going to be a real catalyst in 2016. This is a two-way athlete that will get some valuable looks during the spring and in the summer. Keep your eye on his progress.
