MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Comedian and talk show host Whoopi Goldberg is getting into the weed business.

Goldberg has co-founded a medical marijuana company to produce a variety of female-focused products aimed at relieving menstrual pain and discomfort.

The company is called Whoopi & Maya, after Goldberg and her cofounder Maya Elisabeth, who's been running medical marijuana company Om Edibles since 2008.

Even though the products will mainly target women, the co-founders say men can use their products too.

The company will sell so-called "discreet" versions of pot in the form of edible chocolate, liquid drops or bath-soaks.

They will go on sale at select California medical marijuana dispensaries starting in April.

Goldberg has been very open about her own use of marijuana.
