Broward Driver Crashes Into Canal, I-95 Backed Up For Miles

DEERFIELD BEACH (CBSMiami) -- A man has been hospitalized after his car was found overturned in a canal in Deerfield Beach.
It happened Thursday night along the southbound lanes of I-95 near Hillsboro Blvd.
Dive teams were able to pull the man out of the water, perform CPR and get the driver's pulse going, said Mike Jachles with the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The accident caused traffic to be backed up for miles as police were forced to temporarily shut down the two right lanes.
Florida Highway Patrol said the driver was taken to Broward Health North.
