MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- In a tense confrontation between a reporter and Cuban leader Raul Castro, the topic of political prisoners came up during President Barack Obama's visit to the island nation.

It happened during a new conference following a meeting between both leaders. A reporter  asked the Castro why the government had not released the political prisoners.

Castro responded "give me a list of the political prisoners and I will release them immediately" if we have them. The Cuban leader went on to tell reporters they were asking him too many questions and that the questions should be directed at President Obama.

A few hours later the group, Cuban American National Foundation released a list of political prisoners along with a letter asking for the release of the 47 political prisoners.

"It is our expectation that these political prisoners will be released, unconditionally, by this evening," the group said in a statement on Monday.
