Trapped Elderly Driver Rescued By Good Samaritans In Rollover Crash

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Several good Samaritans jumped into action to save an elderly man trapped inside his car after an accident.

Bystanders began recording on their cellphones as they ran up to the scene at S.W. 17th Avenue and 22nd Street -- a car, flipped on its side and a driver unable to get out.

Good Samaritans broke through a passenger window to try to pull the man through.

When that didn't work, they smashed the windshield and ripped it open, freeing the driver. He was helped to the side of the road, looking shaken and holding his head.

No word on what caused the crash or the extent of any injuries.
