HIALEAH (CBSMiami) -- A large lost flamingo landed in Hialeah traffic Monday.
The flamingo had escaped from the Hialeah Park Casino near 4th Avenue and E 9th Street, according to authorities.
At some point, an officer spotted the large pink bird weaving through traffic, Hialeah Police said.
That's when he jumped into action and chased the flamingo.
With the help of another officer, police managed to capture the bird by restraining him with a traffic jacket and putting it in the back seat of the officer's car.
From there they drove the flamingo to the Hialeah Park Casino sanctuary area where they returned him uninjured and in good health.
