MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Ocean Drive looked like a scene out of a CSI: Miami episode early Sunday as crime tape and evidence markers stretched from 9th Street to 10th.

Witnesses said it started as a fist fight in the middle of Ocean Drive and escalated into a shooting.

Antoinne Decade, 20, was shot once in the chest and died in the hospital, investigators announced.

"About a hundred people started running passed me. I backed up against the wall with my dogs," said Nancy, who happened to be in the area at the time of the shooting. "The police, about 15 of them on foot, without care for themselves, they flew down."

Police administered CPR and began searching the neighborhood for the suspect. One man says he didn't see anything but got caught in the middle of the crowd.

"People were running and they were trying to come into Breakwater, trying to get away from the shootings," said Manny, from South Dakota.

Miami Beach Police have confirmed that there were two shootings overnight. Although there was no victim in the second shooting, they found shell casings on 9th Street and Ocean Drive.

It's been a busy and rowdy weekend with thousands of spring breakers on South Beach.

On Friday, seven people were arrested in a scuffle. Videos of the chaotic and out-of-control scene were posted all over social media.

The shooting early Sunday morning had tourists on edge.

"I am scared because I am here on vacation. And I am not feeling safe," said Marco Torrescano, visiting from Mexico.

Others, like New Yorker Lauren Estel, were left stuck by the police activity.

"We came here to enjoy our peace, have a great time. And we can't even get to our hotel right now," Estel said.

On Sunday, police had spoken to a person of interest but, so far, no arrests have been made.
