Eleven-Car Crash Shutdown Tampa Bridge For Hours

TAMPA (CBSMiami) --  An 11-car crash on a Tampa bridge forced drivers to be stuck in traffic for hours.

The lanes on the northbound Interstate 275 on the Howard Franklin Bridge were shut down but have since been reopened.

Florida Highway Patrol  said at least one person was injured in the crash that happened sometime around 8:30 a.m. - during the morning rush.

Troopers said a driver collided with 10 other cars while on the bridge.

While investigators and rescue crews worked at the scene, traffic on all northbound lanes was shutdown on the bridge causing major traffic delays.
