Driver Trapped In Dump Truck Accident On Highway

BROWARD (CBSMiami) -- A truck driver was airlifted following a crash along a highway in west Broward.

The dump truck seemingly lost control on US 27 near Mile Marker 43 and went off the highway. Video showed the truck stuck in the mud alongside the road.

The driver was also trapped and the Broward Sheriff's Office said he needed to be air-rescued. They haven't given any details on his injuries.

The crash temporarily backed up

Police are investigating how the truck ended up going off-road.
