MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Models! Models everywhere as lovely ladies lined the red carpet at the 1 Hotel South Beach Wednesday night.

It's all part of a two day and night celebration of the 2016 a issue, which is a first for the magazine. Three models on three separate covers celebrating all body types.

Ashley Graham is the first plus-size model to make the SI cover.

"I'm letting my big thighs out and having fun. I'm still in this pinch me moment," said Ashley Graham, this month's cover model. "I think about the cover, I see the cover, but it still hasn't actually hit me."

The day began with a fan fest on the tent in the sands of Ocean Drive, where the models mingled with fans.

"I got my first cover this year, so to have the fans come out to support me is amazing," said Hailey Clauson, also on the cover this month.

The red carpet had more than 24 beauties,  including supermodel Gigi Hadid, who have either graced the covers or filled pages in recent years.

A very pregnant Chrissy Teigen arrived with her hubby, superstar singer John Legend, marking seven years with SI.

"When you go out with your hubby, it's either you're his arm candy or he's arm candy?" asked CBS4's Lisa Petrillo .

"True!" said Teigen, "Most of the time I'm his arm candy, most times. But tonight, at Sports Illustrated, he's my trophy husband."

All of the models and some lucky VIPs at this event were there to celebrate an issue that honors all body types. And an event that allows them to the let their hair down.

"This issue is all about confidence and beauty and it's beyond size. There is no size on women. There's no size on beautiful. And SI is stepping up the game and showing people we can't judge on that," said model Nina Agdal.

"You're one of the beautiful women of color in the magazine, so you represent as well, yes?" Petrillo asked model Chanel Iman.

"I do. I represent all of us sisters!" she said.

And model Hannah Davis said, "I'm just glad to be here among all these great women. And just  having a great time hanging out."

Wednesday night's event wraps up with a late night concert by Wiz Khalifa.

There will be a free fan event on Ocean Drive on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
