FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A knife wielding man was caught on camera robbing a Plantation gas station clerk.

According to the store's video surveillance cameras in the early hours of Saturday, February 6th, the man walked up to the front doors of the Mobil gas station, at 10261 W Broward Boulevard, and peered inside to make sure there were no customers inside.

The man dressed in a baggy shorts and black sleeveless Miami Heath t-shirt, with the number 3 and "Wade" on the back, then entered, pulled a knife out of his pant's pocket and approached the sole clerk.

After chasing her around the store, the man forced her to go behind the counter. As he crouched down so as not to be seen he demanded money from the cash register and threatened to stab her if she didn't give it to him.

"Open the drawer or you're going to die," the man can be heard saying on the video.

He then stuffed a carton of Marlboro cigarettes into his pant's pocket as he ordered her to open the cash drawer.  He then reached in and grabbed several stacks of bills before running out of the store.

Anyone who recognizes the man is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (954) 494-TIPS.
