Comcast Investigates Nationwide Internet, Cable Outage

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Hundreds of South Floridians had their Comcast service interrupted for hours Monday morning.
The cable and internet outage spanned across parts of the state including areas from Miami to Boynton Beach. Other parts of the U.S. were also affected by the outage.
By 1 p.m., the company said almost all services had been restored but they were continuing to work on the issue.
In a statement, Comcast said in part, "Our engineers continue to work on this issue and almost all services have already been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers."
They have not said what caused what they say was a "temporary network interruption."
