MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Bunbury Miami is cozy Argentinean wine bar with tables inside and out that features a vast variety of wines, empanadas and home-cooked style meals.

It's owned by two young Argentinean women, Paula and Geraldine, who wanted to bring the flavors of their homeland to their new home in Miami.

"We put a lot of love and passion in every little place, in every detail," explained chef and co-owner Paula Costa. "I think this sensation of coziness is because of that, because of the love that every space has. And that's the way we chose the menu and the way we picked the wines."

Bunbury is named after a character in Paula's favorite Oscar Wilde book.

The place is filled with nooks and books.

Both ladies are sommeliers, so all of the food and wines are perfectly paired just like you are in someone's home.

"Our food is not a steakhouse or grill. It's like homemade Argentinean food. So the steak you're going to get is the steak that your grandmother made at home because we don't have a grill. We cooked in a kitchen similar like a house kitchen," she explained.

CBS4's Lisa Petrillo was started off with the empanadas, of which there are more than 10 to choose from on the menu.

Paula presented Petrillo with quite the sampling.

First, the signature Bunbury Empanada made with brie cheese, mushrooms and prosciutto.

"This empanada is so light and flavorful. Outside is flaky and inside has a little salt with prosciutto and then the gooey cheese," Petrillo said after biting in.

She then tried the braised lamb.

"The lamb is super tender and soft with tons of flavor and it doesn't feel heavy at all. It's very soothing," Petrillo said.

There was one with chop meat and another with spinach and cheese. So many empanadas so little time!

"I'm just eating all these empanadas. I think I should stop soon, but they are so good! I can't stop. I can't stop eating empanadas!" Petrillo joked.

Cheese lovers will love the Brie Crocante.

It's breaded with almonds, served with a fig vinaigrette.

Where's the beef? It's in the Tablita Malbec.

It's flap steak, sausage, marinated eggplant-tomato confit and homemade chimichurri.

Petrillo's feast ended with an Argentinean crepe made with caramel, Dulce de leche and vanilla ice cream.

"It's caramelized so its crunchy. It's gooey with the melted caramel and then powdered sugar on top. It's divine," Petrillo said.

Bunbury Miami is located off 22nd Street and NE 2nd avenue in Wynwood and open Monday through Saturday for dinner only. For more info on Bunbury, click here.
