FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A Hollywood lawyer is "persona non grata" at Broward's five jails after she was reportedly caught having sex with an inmate.

A memo from the Broward Sheriff's Office with a picture of attorney Jessica Mishali David, 35, was sent out Thursday saying she was prohibited from "entering any Broward Sheriff's Office facility or onto any BSO property for any reason either personal or professional until further notice."

The day before a deputy walked into a jail interview room at the Main Jail and reportedly saw Mishali having sexual intercourse with 26-year old Ysreal Granda, a convicted felon.

The detention deputy said they "observed inmate Granda standing behind Mrs. Mishali  who was bent over at the waist with her skirt raised to her waist area. Mrs. Mishali immediately stood causing her skirt to fall back into position covering her thighs."

Granda is in jail charged on four felony counts, including two for attempted murder.

Through her lawyer, Mishali denies she was having sex and is focused on fighting the banishment.

"Absolutely nothing was happening," Mishali's attorney, Tarlika Navarro, said. "They have a right under the 6th amendment and they are being denied that right," said her attorney.

Attorney Bill Gelin, a courthouse blogger who has worked alongside Mishali, says the allegations aren't new.

Up until a few weeks ago, Mishali had worked for the county's Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel; she represented clients that the public defender could not because of conflicts of interest.

"In the courthouse it's been talked about for weeks because of an incident that happened at another jail and she was terminated at conflict counsel where she was working," said Gelin.

While Mishali may not be facing criminal charges for her alleged actions, the Florida Bar will launch an investigation as to whether her actions violated any rules of conduct.
