ORLANDO (CBSMiami) - Great news for fans of "The Incredible Hulk Coaster" at the Islands of Adventure at the Universal Resort in Orlando - the big guy is coming back.

Last year the popular Bolliger & Mabillard launch rollercoaster was closed and dismantled. Word was that the ride would be getting new cars, new track, new on-ride and in-queue effects. There were also rumors that the actual ride layout could change.

On Monday, the Universal Orlando blog posted pictures of the new track being installed.

The Incredible Hulk Coaster is one of the Islands of Adventure original rides and operated daily from from May 28, 1999 to September 8, 2015 when it was closed for the major refurbishment.

So what does it take to remake the coaster from the ground up? According to Universal Creative a lot, and they do mean a lot,of measuring. Forget the old adage of "measure twice, cut once." In rebuilding The Incredible Hulk Coaster, it was more like, "measure a bazillion times, install once", according to those in the know. An expansive network of laser surveying tools are being used at every step of the reconstruction process, ensuring that the final bolt goes perfectly into place.

The new track will ensure an even smoother ride, according to Universal's blog, without losing the thrills The Incredible Hulk Coaster is known for.

If all goes as planned, Incredible Hulk Coaster will re-open this summer.
