$15K Reward For Man Wanted In Lakeland Murders

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Authorities have increased the reward for information leading to a man wanted for murder.

The reward for 25-year old Jamaal John Smith (a.k.a. Jay Jay, Wolf) is now up to $15,000. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Smith is wanted by the Polk County Sheriff's Office for a deadly shooting in Lakeland which left three dead and one injured.

Authorities believe he may be hiding out in his hometown of Miami. His last known address was 35 N.W. 44th Street.

Police said Smith and two other men were inside a home when an altercation escalated and shots rang out.

David Washington, 24, Eneida Branch, 31, and Angelica Guadalupe Castro, 23, were found shot to death in a home on January 6th.

A fourth man, Felix Campos, 18, survived. Police said had been sleeping in another room when he woke up to gunfire. That's when one of the gunman walked in and shot him in the face. Police said he pretended to be dead.   

Smith is charged with three counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted murder in connection to the shooting.

Miami-Dade Police arrested Andrew Joseph and Jonathan Alcegaire were also arrested in connection to the homicide.
