MIAMI (CBSMiami) – If you are married, have several children living with you, are over 65 and live near the ocean, chances are you're residing in one of the most boring places in Florida – or so says one website.

RoadSnacks.net decided to crunch some numbers and create a list of the most yawn-inducing towns across the Sunshine State.

Here is their top 10 list:

  1. Sanibel
  2. Wildwood
  3. Punta Gorda
  4. New Smyrna Beach
  5. Longboat Key
  6. Marco Island
  7. Naples
  8. Venice
  9. Palm Beach
  10. Indian River Shores

RoadSnacks promised they didn't just put a bunch of names in a bag of Werther's Original hard candies and plucked them out at random.

They used a systematic formula to explain why Sanibel is more siesta than fiesta.

First they used the U.S. Census data to find all places in the state with populations greater than 5,000 – which left them with just 214 cities.

Then they started by recording the percentage of the population over 35 in those cities. They also recorded the percentage of married households, number of kids in a household and number of people over 65 in the households. They also looked at the average age of the city and its population density.

If the number came back higher, except for population density, it was deemed more boring.

Of the 214 possible contenders, Sanibel blew away the competition.

Their 78 percent of households over 65 was a full 13 points higher than runner-up Wildwood.

Not to mention, Sanibel's average age of 66 dwarfs Wildwood's 58.

So what about the hot spots?

Well, as usual, Miami Beach and Orlando are the where you want to be.
