MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade police said they've made an arrest in a deadly crash involving an Uber SUV.

The crash happened two days after Christmas on SW 157th avenue.

Uber driver Jean Ralph Adam was transporting 20-year-old Pablo Sanchez Jr. and three of his friends in a GMC Yukon when he tried to make a left hand turn onto SW 144th Street.

Police said Alexander Chica was going south on SW 157th Avenue in his Toyota Corolla when he slammed into the Uber vehicle causing it to rollover and land against a wall.

Both vehicles went up in flames. Sanchez was trapped and died, while everyone else escaped serious injury.

As investigators continued to process the evidence, they said they were able confirm Chica was under the influence of alcohol.

On Wednesday night, Miami-Dade police arrested Chica on DUI manslaughter charges.

Police said Chica was taken into custody without incident.

Sanchez's family has filed a lawsuit which names Uber, Adam and Chica.
