Pedestrian Killed, Struck Crossing Street On Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) -- A 68-year-old woman has died as the result of her injuries suffered in an accident Wednesday.

Miami Beach Police said she was crossing at 15th Street and Alton Road around 6:30 a.m. when she was hit by a pickup truck.

The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

The driver remained on scene. No charges were filed.
